Broken Forests is an ever expanding network of artists who engage directly with forests affected by resource extraction. We currently have groups (pods)
in Canada, Brazil, South Korea, and Poland. The Canadian pod is called Broken Forests–Fireweed and we have been working directly with the Brazilian pod since we gathered for two weeks in 2025 at the Island Mountain Arts Centre in Wells, BC. During that two week residency we developed a project that will be presented
at galleries and performance sites in Campinas, São Paulo and Minas Gerais, Brazil in the summer of 2026.
