Building on my 2018 work Of Weather, Carry On (working title) is a series of stretched photographic prints, based on the size of standard carry-on luggage (22”x14”) that are adapted from footage taken while in residency in Brazil and feature a threatened aspect of the ecological systems found there. The images will be activated by participants attending the exhibition to form a “video” of still images that can flow out from the gallery into the larger community.

I also intend to further develop my Biophonic Transplantation series in which sounds from intact ancient forest ecosystems are relocated to disturbed environments such as clearcuts and art galleries to explore how sound can be used as a healing property in reforestation and human wellness.
